 The beginning of this class was totally different.In my other class we take notes,keep ourself busy with tones of books and questions and so on.But this class is totally refreshing.In this class we don't need to write.We just type in our blogs and post it.The most helping of all is that your classmates respond to your writing.The more you gather ideas the more your knowledge expands.I just hope that i keep working hard and harder so that I don't make my professor disappointment at all.Hoping that i can pass my CAT exam and can progress to my ENG 101.That my wish for every classmates in my class

Blog entry 06 "THE ALLEGORY OF THE CAVE"

                The word reality is the most complex word ever.What is reality?The things you are shown or the things you believe. For some reality is what they are said to be truth like the kids, and for others reality is what they can see by themselves like adults.With the change of stages from childhood to adulthood we keep on exploring things and gaining knowledge.When I compare my life with Socrates point of view regarding reality, I  see myself  still struggling to go beyond the boundaries.In my this stage, I am still learning and gaining knowledge.But people should always try to face the sun and to see the real truth hidden in it.

             '' In the allegory of the cave'' Socrates while explaining the reality, stated about an imaginary scenario of some people as chained.They are shown shadows of objects which they take as real.They never tried to think about the truth beyond of this shadows.The kids are exactly like this chain people.They believe what their parents say to them.Like one of them was me.My mom use to tell me about fairies,that if I behave nicely and be a good girl than one day fairy will come and give me a wonderful gift and will be taking me to her fairy land.


               It is said that if you lie for something good than the Almighty never punishes you for that lie.Like this my mom even lied to me, by creating an excitement in myself of meeting a fairy and to travel  with her to the fairy land.That was the most beautiful lie ever in my life.  


             After reading the ''Allegory of Cave'' I made my mind to go beyond the boundaries of this shadow and to face the real truth i.e the sun.But sometimes it makes me scared to think about the reality.Because reality is always bitter for people to accept.

The Allegory of the Cave

The Allegory of the Cave is basically an imagined scenario narrated by Plato during his time.The main idea of this scenario is that what human beings thinks as reality in this world isn't the real truth.There is always a truth hidden in the shadows of walls.In this scenario some people are imagined to be chained up in such a way that they can't move their heads.They are seat to see a projector like a wall size.The shadows are so close that they take them as real.If one of the prisoner gets chance to get out from this chained world and is held to face the sunlight then, he will be thinking that this is the source of all the things.For the reflections, for the years to come and pass away.If this prisoner goes back to his fellow mates and describes what he saw, then they will be thinking him as crazy because for them the reality is with in the boundaries.

                            In the passage of "Hype" by Kalle Lasn  the message which she want to let us know is that- how advertisements are hampering people lives. The 21st century is crowded up with advertisements.From morning till night, we keep on noticing ads and distracting yourself.Its the human nature that whenever they see something new, they feel to get it and that's what are ads doing.The most great distract people of this ads are the kids.Whenever they see a new or exciting game they just want to get it no matter happens.After wasting the money in buying it they later find  that it same like as the previous game they had or boring to play.

                     While driving on roads,taking a break on parks,eating in a restaurants, internet,every where we see ads.Human  lives have become restless.There is no place where they can sit,relax and enjoy a small portion of this lives.Ads are just made by the companies for earning money and making their reputation higher in market.They aren't caring for the people.e.g the most desirable of all, i-phones are in great competition.With the mechanization advancement, the prices are getting higher and higher.When you get excited with the ads products and get it, later on  you find out that its money consuming .You don't need  it or you have it in you home by corner. These ads are getting bigger and bigger and spreading widely that its beyond our mind to make a guess for it.

                  Public attention creators are some how destroying public lives with its widely influence.They aren't giving people the space to think about, and to make a correct decision for themselves.They are just making human brains confuse and worthless.

Annotating makes the work easier. By annotating we can make a clean copy of ideas which we can gathered from the essay.By annotating the topic is" Google making us stupid" we found out that   Google is some what distracting our lives.Now a days every one makes to make their life easier and less time spending. So if any problem or for any search they just go to Google and get their desire answer.But we aren't thinking deeply for this issues with our brain.The more the brain works the more it is affective for work.Google is helping us but in other way is making our brain less working.When Google wasn't invented people use to make use of their brain for the things in which we use Google.The people of earlier ages we more affective then the people of this century.

                               In the article of hype, the author's main message what he wanted to deliver is that, the ads are rapidly increasing and spreading widely in the human world.Due to competition,one company wants to create its ad more attract full so that it can sell their goods in a high range  in comparer with others.For their needs they are making human lives destructive.There is no place where we can get some relaxedness.Kids are specially  diverted with the ads of video games.XBOX ,the most popular game in between the kids are earning money but decreasing kids attention towards their study and responsibilities, in a whole leading their lives to destruction .This ads are rapidly spreading every where that it is beyond our mind to make a guess about it.This ads aren't leaving any body from this bad influence.
